The DISA team showcased the latest innovations in casting technology to decision makers in the Indian foundry industry at IFEX 2018, which was held in Gujarat from 10-12 January alongside Cast India Expo.

The event shaped up to be our most successful ever IFEX after the show completed with eight contracts signed.

DISA’s stand featured live demonstrations of exhibits including the DISA MATCH 24/28 moulding machine, as well as a display of castings made on DISA moulding equipment.

IFEX 2018 attracted 303 exhibitors from 13 countries and welcomed 8,452 one-time registered visitors.

By the time the event concluded, DISA India had signed contracts to supply four DISA MATCH machines, three DISA FLEX machines and a DISAMATIC C3-150.

Wheelabrator, which shared the stand with DISA technology, also had a successful show and signed a contract to supply a Wheelabrator VH 10/12 shot blast machine.

Commenting on the stellar success of the show, Saurav Kumar, Head of Marketing for Norican Group in India, said: “IFEX is the biggest and most hotly anticipated event in the Indian foundry industry.

Vitally for us, it is an excellent place to speak with customers about their challenges and to share insights about unlocking productivity gains.

“With the foundry sector in India growing exponentially and developing apace, we were keen to highlight that we combine global DISA R&D with local expertise and manufacturing, to deliver products that meet the specific needs of our customers here in India.

“Not only did we sign eight machine contracts at the show, we are also in discussion with many more potential customers – not just about machines, but service contracts, parts partnership programmes and repair kits.

“IFEX 2018 has been absolutely invaluable to us and we’re already looking forward to attending next year’s event.”
