Anja Ahrens Kronbak
Shipping Coordinator
What is your role at DISA?
In my role as Shipping Coordinator I, along with my colleagues, ship spare parts, and moulding machines to our customers around the world. We have the day-to-day shipments and the large projects, that usually takes a few months of planning.
Besides that, I am a part of the DISA party committee – We plan the summer party and Christmas party, select Christmas gifts, among other things.
For how long have you worked at DISA?
I have worked at DISA for almost 10 years – this September. Every day is different and the challenges we meet every day just makes it more exciting.
Can you share a fun or interesting fact about yourself?
A fun fact – I love going to concerts with my friends and colleagues. My father is from Germany, so Ispent a lot of time with the family in Hamburg and Bremen.
If you could have any superpower to help you at work, what would it be?
If I could stop port congestion that would be nice – it would make our job a lot easier. When the parts leaves DISA, a lot can happen on the way to the customer, and it is out of our control. With all that is happening around the world, everything can change overnight.
What sets DISA apart from other workplaces you've experienced?
The colleagues, without a doubt and the knowledge that is in this house. There is a special bond here at DISA. We have so many 25- 30- and 40-years jubilees and several generations that works here. We have different sport clubs you can join and have fun or compete against your colleagues, regardless of age, department, or fitness level.
That is one of the things that makes DISA unique.
What is the best part about your current role or the tasks/projects you're currently working on?
I just shipped a DISAMATIC D3 and a DISAMATIC D5 to a customer in China. It is interesting to get involved with all the details, making sure, that everything goes according to plan – if not, we must replan. Another wonderful thing is that I am lucky to be a part of a great team.
If you were at the airport right now, what country would you travel to?
On the top of my list is Vietnam, the Maldives or Madeira. There are so many beautiful places to see, great cultures to learn about and concerts to go to.
What projects are you currently working on?
I have the day-to day shipments and a project coming up for Slovakia.
