Rasmus Ramgaard
Product Manager
What is your role at DISA?
I’m the Product Manager for all DISA's Digital Solutions for our foundry machines and foundry equipment. My job is to set the strategy and lead the development of digital products that strengthen our offerings in the foundry industry. I collaborate closely with various teams to ensure our digital solutions meet customer needs, improve efficiency, and align with the overall goals of both DISA and Norican. My main focus is to integrate our traditional foundry equipment with innovative digital tools, adding value and helping us stay competitive.
For how long have you worked at DISA?
I’ve been with DISA since 2008, starting as an automation technician trainee in production, where I tested and troubleshot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on our foundry equipment. After graduating in 2012, I moved into the service department as a remote supporter. After five years in the service department, I transitioned to R&D, working for another five years on machine controls and also expanding our digital solutions. Now, I’m in product management, responsible for some of the same products I’ve been involved with since I first started at DISA.
Can you share a fun or interesting fact about yourself?
I’ve spent half my life working at DISA, and I know I’m nowhere near the end of my journey here yet!
If you could have any superpower to help you at work, what would it be?
To look into the future - who wouldn’t want that? Imagine being able to see upcoming market trends, predict customer needs, maybe even know when conflicts end, and understand the changes ahead. It would be an incredible advantage for planning and creating the best possible solutions!
What 3 words would you use to describe DISA?
Innovative, supportive, and customer-focused.
What sets DISA apart from other workplaces you've experienced?
At DISA, you have real opportunities for growth. DISA excels at supporting employees who want to develop and take on new challenges, allowing them to apply their expertise in new roles. There are many great examples of people moving into new positions where they can evolve with added responsibilities and use their knowledge from previous roles to make an impact. This commitment to employee development and growth truly sets DISA apart.
What is the best part about your current role or the tasks/projects you're currently working on?
The best part of my role is being able to ensure that we’re developing the best solutions for our customers. I get to guide our direction with new products, making sure we’re aligned with market needs and have the freedom to evaluate and, if necessary, discontinue products that don’t serve our goals. Ultimately, we aim to create products that bring real value to our customers and are also a good business for us.
What projects are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on our product development process at DISA, overseeing it from the initial business case to the final standard product. This involves a lot of collaboration with different stakeholders, as well as developing new SOPs and OPLs to support the new workflow.
What initiatives or projects are you most excited about that are happening within DISA right now?
I’m particularly excited about our DISA TAG system - Traceability and Guidance. It has the potential to be a true game-changer by enabling traceability in processes where it has previously been challenging or even impossible. We've already seen strong interest from customers, who are requesting more variants of the product.
