Simpson Technologies Acquires the Sand Laboratory Testing Equipment Business of DISA Industrie AG

On 31st January, 2008 Simpson Technologies GmbH based in Steinhausen, Switzerland completed the acquisition of the DISA (formerly Georg Fischer) sand laboratory testing equipment product line from DISA Industrie AG in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

The sand testing equipment product line, which contains approximately 50 CE-certified and European standardized instruments, was developed by Georg Fischer AG of Schaffhausen, Switzerland over a period of many years. Later, the product line was transferred to DISA following their acquisition of the remaining shares in the joint venture Georg Fischer DISA in the year 2000.
