THE CORE SETTER (CSE)
The Core Setter (CSE) is used with the DISA Moulding Machine (DMM) for making cored moulds. Its function is to insert cores automatically in the rear face of the last produced mould. The light curtain* guard ensures the operator easy access to insert cores in the core mask. On a panel the operator may select whether the CSE starts automatically after he has inserted the cores and left the light curtain area, or the start has to be acknowledged on a push-button.
Provided that cores are fed into the CSE within the time available for core loading, the maximum moulding speed for cored moulds/hour will be obtained.
Proportional valves control both the hydraulic transversal and the pneumatic longitudinal movements. The speed of both movements and the inserting force can be adjusted individually as pattern plate/core mask parameters. This ensures automatic set-up and excellent control of the inserting sequence.
The Core Setter can be installed on either side of the moulding machine. As standard the operator’s panel is placed on the CSE side so one man can operate both the Moulding Machine and the Core Setter.
