1. General Description
The Instructional Video Programme consists of 10 videotapes – in total 135 minutes with demonstration of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the DISAMATIC 2013 MK5.
The purpose is to improve the training of the foundry’s operators and maintenance personnel. The Instructional Video Programme complements the 2013 MK5 Standard Training Course. The result of using the programme will be improved quality of the castings produced on the equipment and reduced downtime and maintenance costs.
2. Contents of the Instructional Video Programme
2.1. Operation, part 1 (15 minutes)
The video gives instructions on how to operate the machine, start and stop of production, pattern plate change, end-of-day procedure etc.
2.2. Operation, part 2 (20 minutes)
Detailed descriptions of the operating panel, switches, pushbuttons and VDU screens.
2.3. Daily check of the protection system (5 minutes)
Demonstration of how to check the protection system in order to operate the machine safely.
2.4. Safety procedures for maintenance (8 minutes)
Maintenance work on the DISAMATIC machine requires that the machine is set into Zero Mechanical State in order to work safely.
2.5. Preventive maintenance, daily and weekly (11 minutes)
The video demonstrates the maintenance jobs to be done daily and weekly.
2.6. Mechanical alignments (13 minutes)
Perfect castings require a perfectly aligned machine.
2.7. Preventive maintenance, monthly/quarterly/annually (16 minutes)
Demonstration of the maintenance checks not covered by the video entitled “Mechanical Alignments”.
2.8. The hydraulic system (8 minutes)
The video explains the oil flow in each operation of the DMM and the AMC. Computer animations show the function of the pump control and the main pressure control.
2.9. Electronic and hydraulic adjustments (21 minutes)
The overall performance of the DISAMATIC depends a lot on the fine-tuning of the pump control and other components. The video shows how to make the machine work as it is supposed to.
2.10. Documentation and troubleshooting (16 minutes)
The DISAMATIC provides strong troubleshooting tools. This video shows how to solve problems in a fast and systematic way.
3. Conditions
The 10 videotapes are delivered with a table of contents for easy navigation in the programme.
Unless otherwise agreed the tapes will be standard VHS. Formats such as NTSC, SECAM or PAL must be specified by order.
The Instructional Video Programme is available in English, however, versions in other languages may be developed on request.
Due to the ongoing development of the machines, minor details may not match a particular machine.
