With speeds of up to 510 uncored moulds an hour and a machine-related mismatch of 0.10 mm or less for minimal trimming and fettling, the DISA 231 is an upgrade of the highly successful DISA 230, and it pushes the vertical moulding performance bar up yet another notch.
The DISA New Generation signaled a step change in vertical moulding, combining high output with unparalleled precision and reliability, low maintenance costs and an improved working environment.
More than 100 foundries worldwide have already benefited from these performance improvements based on a new, even more rigid mechanical design, a greater range of mould sizes, fewer moving parts, cutting-edge PLC and standardized components.
New level of precision and reliability
The new DISA 231 takes precision and reliability to an even higher level with a number of new features including:
Redesigned Automatic Mould Conveyor (AMC)
The redesigned AMC features larger thrustbars and active braking, and uses the same integrated control system as the moulding machine to enable superior control of the mould string.
Even more robust hydraulics
The hydraulic system has been simplified and enhanced to provide even more robustness and reliability. The new system combines with state of the art electrical control to enable consistently high output of castings at an even lower cost per mould.
Cutting-edge monitoring and control
Cutting-edge production monitoring and control using updated control system hardware enables straightforward pre-setting and adaptation of all production parameters for fast pattern change without compromising speed or quality.
Other standard features include double-side mould squeeze and individual positioning of pattern plates in the chamber, an enhanced sand shot system, less wear and less maintenance due to load reductions on fewer moving parts and in-chamber spray for enhanced workplace air quality as well as helping to prevent wear on pattern plates.
