DISAMATIC UPGRADING KITS & SPARE PARTS CONFERENCE IN ITALY

On the 19th of May 2005, DISA Italia organised a conference covering the subject "DISAMATIC upgrading kits & spare parts". The conference was held in the conference centre "I due Roccoli" situated in Iseo.

At present there are 14 DISAMATIC machines in operation in Italy distributed in 10 foundries. The participants, of just 5 foundries, were very interested in the latest achievements of our Spare Parts Department.

The participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest possibilities of upgrading existing DISAMATIC lines to improve the operation, productivity and quality of the castings produced. The lectures were supported by a mini-exhibition of the most up to date and widely used spare and wear parts.

There was great interest, particularly in the parts increasing the life time of wear parts and upgrading of the DISAMATIC controls with the new PLC system. In spite of the serious topics being discussed, the atmosphere was very informal; the participants showed great enthusiasm asking lots of good questions and relating their needs and expectations from DISA's new developments.

The conclusion from the conference is clear: By making customers aware of our modifications/upgrades, we improve the operation of the DISA foundries and at the same time we increase the number of customers satisfied with our service and thereby create a good reference for the DISA Group.
